Jo Brand is an English comedian, writer and actress, born 23 July 1957. She began her working life as a psychiatric nurse before entering the alternative comedy stand-up scene. Early performances included Saturday Live and she went on to appear on Channel 4’s Jo Brand Through the Cakehole, Getting On and various television appearances including a regular guest on QI, Have I Got News for You and Would I Lie to You? Brand was listed as one of the 50 funniest acts in British comedy in 2003.

Jill “Jilly” Goolden was born 28 September 1949 and is an English journalist, wine critic and former television personality.

David Gower OBE is a former English cricketer, born 1 April 1957, who became the captain of the England cricket team during the 1980s. He was described as one of the most stylish left-handed batsmen of his era and he played 117 Test matches and 114 One Day Internationals scoring 8,231 and 3170 runs. He was one of the most capped and high scoring players for England during his period.

Louise Jameson is an English actress born in 1951, with a huge number of appearances on British TV and theatre. Danny La Rue, OBE was born Daniel Patrick Carroll on 26 July 1927 and died on 31 May 2009. He was an Irish born singer and entertainer, particularly a big name in the world of stage theatre and was famous for for his singing and cross-dressing performances.

John Beverly was better known as Sid Vicious and was born on 10 May 1957 and died on 2 February 1979. He was an English bassist and vocalist, most famous as a member of the influential punk rock band the Sex Pistols. Vicious joined the Sex Pistols in early 1977 to replace Glen Matlock, who had fallen out with the rest of the group. Due to intravenous drug use, Vicious was hospitalised with hepatitis during the recording of the band’s only studio album ‘Never Mind the B*****, Here’s the Sex Pistols’. As a result of this, his bass is only partially featured on one song from the album. Vicious would later appear as a lead vocalist, performing three cover songs, on the soundtrack to The Great Rock ‘n’ Roll Swindle, a largely fictionalised documentary about the Sex Pistols, produced by the group’s former manager Malcolm McLaren.

Sarah Virginia Wade, OBE was born 10 July 1945 and is a former professional tennis player from Great Britain who won three Grand Slam singles championships and four Grand Slam doubles championships. Virginia Wade is the only British woman in history to have won titles at all four Grand Slam tournaments. She was ranked as high as No. 2 in the world in singles, and No. 1 in the world in doubles. Her most famous success was winning Wimbledon on 1 July 1977, the tournament’s centenary year, and the year of the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. The Queen actually attended the final for the first time since 1962.
