Following the recent appearance of the new Hyundai i30 at the beginning of the year, the Geneva Motor Show 2017 has been the stage in which the Korean brand has sought that balance between compact and familiar that so much like in some markets. It is the Hyundai i30 Wagon, a car whose 602 liters of luggage want to call parents with children or anyone who needs extra space.
Both aesthetically and in terms of equipment, the i30 Wagon benefits from the few advances made by the conventional body. What this new model does is multiply the space and the possibilities of use thanks to an intelligent distribution.
An i30 for the whole family
The exterior dimensions of the i30 Wagongrecen up to 4585 mm in length (+245 mm) by 1,465 mm in height and 1,795 mm in width. The wheelbase is also unchanged with respect to the model from which it departs, maintaining the 2,650 mm. Aesthetically there are no major changes apart from the prolongation of the rear.
Inside, the interior triggers the versatility from 602 liters to 1,650 liters by lowering the rear row of seats. Otherwise the horizontal design returns to be the sign of identity to provide a sense of amplitude, the qualities seem correct and all infotainment is focused on an 8″ touch screen.
In terms of safety the equipment is the same as the i30 with automatic braking, pedestrian recognition, rail maintenance or fatigue detector between the active elements. Intelligent cruise control with safety distance maintenance, deadbolt detection, rear traffic alert and jam wizard to make life easier for your controls.
The engines chosen will be faithful to the style downsizing, with two petrol and a diesel at the beginning of its commercialization all with manual transmission of six speeds or associable to a gearbox 7DCT of double clutch:
- 1.0 T-GDI 120 hp
- 1.4 T-GDI 140 hp
- 1.6 CRDI 110 hp
