There are certain foods that can cause much more risk to the heart – foods that contain saturated fats and have high sugar and salt content are bad for the heart.

Many people find that a vegan diet can help them to have a healthy heart. This is because it is naturally very low in the fats that cause heart problems, whilst being naturally high in a lot of good vitamins and minerals that the body needs to function healthily.
