If we take a look at the nutritional table offered by these traditional cookies, we can draw a clear conclusion: neither are they the healthiest, nor are they directly the best nutritional option.
In addition to the amount of sugar incorporated, enemy No. 1 at risk of hypertension, (about 25g / 100g), well above the values that contain other less famous cookies, include the use of palm fat in many of these preparations , an option that, as we saw in one of our last post about Palm oil: the secondary actor that accompanies the “villain of sugar” , turns it into an unsuitable cookie alternative.
Of course, these types of cookies are nutritionally better than many other alternatives (there are always less advisable options), but thanks to the fact that nowadays it is absolutely mandatory to include the origin of the oils used in the elaboration of these products, we have the advantage of being able to choose really healthy options and that are not elaborated from this type of saturated fats so not recommended.
